6.22.13 - Hitched

I did what I thought I'd never do -- get married! Thankfully the weather wasn't too warm on that second day of summer Saturday morning in Eden Park and thankfully the people were across the street at Krohn Conservatory's butterfly show. We had the short and intimate service under FDR's Tulip Tree (quite appropriate) in the Presidential Grove. Carrot cake at the BonBonerie followed.

  1. HOORAY!!!
    That is *happy* news!
I love your tulip skirt and Mr. Dania's shirt, the color of orange sherbet push-ups from childhood. Or is it Orange Dreamsicle?
(Sorry, I forget his name-- is Kent?)
Wishing you big bunches of happiness!

  2. Thanks, Fresca. I love "Mr. Dania." Kent, luckily has a good sense of humor, so was amused as well. I've already had a fight with the county clerk, as I'm keeping my name, yet they sent a letter with the marriage certificate, stating "Mr. & Mrs."

We'd been planning on getting married for a while, but kept getting stuck in the details. Finally due to health insurance issues, we decided to just do it. It took two weeks to get it all together, but amazingly it everything worked out.

Thanks again for the warm wishes and views.

    Dania
